Sandbelt Invitational

The 2024 Sandbelt Invitational is being held this week with Tuesdays round 2 at Yarra Yarra. The club will be represented in the field by Club Champions Amelia Harris and Max Moring as well as Jazy Roberts and Jackson Green.
The first round will be contested at Commonwealth Golf Club on Monday – CLICK HERE for tee times.
Round 2 will be at Yarra Yarra with tee times from 8.00 am to 11.30 am with the draw available late Monday.
Members are welcome to watch the event with a great mix of players including Richard Green and Steve Allan who had great success on the USPGA Champions Tour this year, Su Oh returns and is in excellent form.
The Warrigal Road gates open at 7.30 am for spectators with parking available at the Netball courts on the opposite side of Warrigal Road with access from Washington Drive off Old Dandenong Road.

The Sandbelt Invitational is part of the Geoff Ogilvy Foundation’s mission to bring together the best players in Victoria and around the country with the aim of the older and more experienced players passing down their knowledge to coming players. This tradition of Australian golf harks back to the great Norman Von Nida mentoring the young Peter Thomson who, in turn helped generations of neophyte Australian golfers.
The field will be truly mixed – one made up of men and women, young and older, professionals and amateurs. We are grateful for the generosity of four clubs who readily agreed to be a part of an event showcasing four of Melbourne’s world-renowned Sandbelt courses.
