The qualifying round for the Schumacher Cup was held on Saturday with the leading 8 men’s scores from the November Saturday Medal going through to Match Play.

The leading 8 qualifiers are:

Karl Schumacher was an affluent Member of the Club in the 1920s.  Although he did not serve in an executive role or as a Committeeman, he was invited to donate a trophy for a weekly competition. The scale and cost of the donated trophy was such that the Committee of the day resolved to retain it for a permanent annual event. The trophy became the Schumacher Cup.
