With challenging conditions greeting Craig Maurel and David Meagher in the final if the Schumacher Cup it was going to take patience to come out on top.

Both finalists performed incredibly well in the conditions and with both Craig and David playing to handicaps it was going to be small swings that decided the outcome. With the match all square through 16 holes Craig won the 17th to go to the last one up and had an opportunity to win there as he stood over a 6 foot putt to close out the match on the 18th green. It slipped agonizingly close as it missed on the left taking the match to extra holes.

A half on 19 was followed by Craig winning the match on the 20th hole.

Congratulations Craig, winning the Schumacher Cup back to back in 2023 and 2024 is an outstanding feat.
