After a truly amazing season our Junior Pennant team contested the final on Sunday at Ranfurlie against Ranfurlie.

Although the result of the final was not what we hoped for, our “journey” from the very first practice session together has been remarkable.  The team has practiced and prepared really well, and we have developed a great camaraderie amongst the players, caddies and parents. Some wonderful golf from the entire squad, saw us go through the regional matches undefeated, earning the number one seeding going into the finals. And there were many times during the season where our players dug deep and fought their way back into winning positions.

Sunday’s final was always going to be a difficult task, against a team close to equal in standing but with a handicap differential of 80 shots, and on their home course.

Having said that, we are all very proud of the way that all of our young players continued to play their best golf right to the end of every match.

A big thanks go to all of our caddies thoughout the season, to the parents and our supporters. Final score:  Ranfurlie 6 defeated  Yarra Yarra 0
