The Game – Jackson Green wins Amateur Title

The Game is a series of 18 hole events supported by the Geoff Ogilvy Foundation to support young professionals and aspiring amateurs to ensure they have some competitive golf during the winter months. A series of 20 events held across Melbourne was concluded yesterday with the final individual event held at Victoria with Yarra Yarra’s Jackson Green finishing with a 2 under par round to win the season long Amateur Section.

The final event of the year will be held at Yarra Yarra next Monday with a teams event where pairs will play Foursomes on 1 nine and 4BBB on the other nine. There will be 60 of Melbourne best golfers playing including the pairing of Jackson and Max Moring from Yarra Yarra. The first tee time will be midday with members welcome to come and watch.

Victorian Junior Open

The Victorian Junior Open is being held this week at Barwon Heads and 13th Beach with a very healthy representation of Yarra Yarra members competing.

The first round was held yesterday, Monday 23 September with Amelia Harris leading the girls championship following a round of 4 under par 69.

Kirk Kryskow leads the way for the Yarra Yarra boys after a round of 74 which has him 7th in the U16 boys section.
