US Amateur Championship

The 124th US Amateur Championship commenced overnight in Minnesota with Phoenix Campbell in 11th place with 67 after the 1st round. The US Amateur Championship has 36 holes of qualifying with the leading 64 scores qualifying for Match Play.
Phoenix had 5 birdies and an eagle thrown in with a double bogey on his way to 3 under par on the Chaska Town Course. His second round will be on the Hazeltine National course which is playing the harder of the 2 courses.
